What is FewBeans?

FewBeans is a community where people can ask for a little help when life throws them an unexpected expense, and where others can step in with small contributions that can make a big difference.

How much can I request?

New campaigns are currently capped at $1,000. We intentionally keep requests small because we believe people are more willing to help when the goal is realistic and achievable.

Once your campaign reaches its goal, people are still welcome to continue contributing if they choose. The campaign doesn't automatically stop accepting support.

Why do I have to upload a video?

People connect with people.

A short, honest video allows supporters to hear your story in your own words. We believe authentic stories build trust far better than pages of text.

How long should my video be?

We recommend keeping your video between 30 and 90 seconds. Explain what happened, how much you need, and exactly what the money will help you pay for.

Do campaigns get reviewed?

Yes.

Every campaign is reviewed before it appears publicly. This helps us reduce spam, fraud, and content that violates our community guidelines.

How long does approval take?

Most campaigns are reviewed as quickly as possible. During busy periods, reviews may take a little longer.

Can I donate anonymously?

Yes.

If you'd prefer not to have your name displayed to the campaign creator, you can choose to donate anonymously during checkout.

Where does my money go?

Your contribution is securely processed through our payment provider and, after applicable fees, is sent to the campaign creator once all payment and identity verification requirements have been satisfied.

When does the campaign creator receive the money?

Once payments have been successfully processed and any required verification has been completed, funds are paid out according to our payment provider's schedule.

Do I have to pay it forward?

No.

FewBeans is built on kindness, not obligation. We hope that if life improves for you someday, you'll come back and help someone else—but it's always your choice.

Can I create more than one campaign?

To keep the platform fair, users are generally limited to one active campaign at a time.

What kinds of requests are allowed?

We welcome genuine requests for help with life's unexpected expenses such as rent, groceries, utilities, transportation, emergency repairs, medical costs, pet emergencies, and similar situations.

What kinds of campaigns are not allowed?

Campaigns involving illegal activity, fraud, misleading information, hate speech, violence, harassment, or other content that violates our Terms & Conditions will not be approved.

Does FewBeans guarantee that I'll receive donations?

No.

Every contribution is voluntary. While we work hard to build a supportive community, we cannot guarantee that any campaign will receive donations.

Why are the requests intentionally small?

FewBeans isn't trying to replace traditional crowdfunding.

It's designed for those moments when someone just needs a little help getting through the week. Sometimes dozens of people giving a few dollars each can completely change someone's day.

How is FewBeans funded?

FewBeans may earn a small platform fee from successful contributions to help cover payment processing, fraud prevention, moderation, infrastructure, and ongoing development of the platform.
